Filofax Siena set up

About a week ago I spotted a Filofax Siena in Cinnamon for sale on one of the FaceBook planner pages. I was third in line and could not believe my luck when the other two people decided not to buy it. Naturally I sent the money there and then and 24 hours later the stunning Siena arrived on my doorstep!

The Siena comes in a dust bag, which could be used to keep it in your bag. I have never kept any of my planners in a planner bag as I use my planner multiple times a day and couldn't be bothered with taking it out and putting in back again each time I wanted to use it.

What a stunner! I was amazed at how soft and buttery it was. I think the scratch marks add to its character and tell a story of its life. I love the way the Siena looks and the Cinnamon colour is a rich brown and goes amazingly well with my Fossil Sydney Satchel in the dark brown colour.

I had an initial set up that I used for a while and then managed to get my hands on the June Planner Society kit which I thought would look amazing against the cinnamon leather of the Siena.

I made the dividers using paper, die cuts and tabs from the kit. I really enjoy making things for my planner as I feel it is more personal that way. I have ordered some dividers from an Etsy store and will incorporate them into my planner once they arrive.

I love this card from ChochoAndMimi on Etsy, they arrive with every order and I keep mine in a front pocket. The paperclip is from the June Planner Society Kit. I think they look gorgeous together!

Two Kate Spade Paper clips decorate the bottom pockets. One was in a lovely Happy Mail from a friend!

My first section is current things, meal plans, tracking and some today pages for those really busy days.

I use Sew Much Crafting inserts for my daily planning and it is these pages I decorate with stickers. I use the top box for appointments and none movable to do items and the bottom box for a to do list for that day.

I made a today marker from items in the Planner Society kit.

My next section is forward planning. In this section I have a fold out year at a glance calendar for both 2016 and 2017. Followed by a week on a page with notes from Just So Stationary.

These pages are great for weekly planning. I prefer week on one page to forward plan rather than month on two pages and there is more room for noting things down in a hurry. I don't decorate or colour code these pages and they can get quite messy. I don't really use the right hand page and am waiting for a Sewmuchcrafting order to arrive with two weeks on two pages included to use for forward planning until June 2017.

My next section is notes pages and I use various different makes of paper as it a rough notes section, I currently have Paperchase paper in there.

My next section is for all permanent lists and notes. It includes dates to remember, TV trackers, directions to people houses, bank information, medical appointment notes and medication details. I also have a world map just incase!

Behind the next tab is all the information I need about our upcoming house move. I have Filofax to do pages, Filofax week on two pages, Filofax contacts pages and grid paper to record costs.

Finally I have my finance section. There is a lot in this section and all of it used regularly to track various different things but I have found that having this section in my planner means I use it and also stay more on track of finances. I used to have a separate filofax for finances but found I never used it!

I use Sewmuchcrafting bill tracker sheets to track monthly spending such as groceries and fuel.

I also use bill tracking inserts from Just So Stationary to track regular payments such as gas and electric bills. I also have some Savings Tracker sheets and Debt repayment sheets from Sewmuchcrafting.

I also have online purchase sheets from Sewmuchcrafting and wish list sheets from Just So Stationary. The online purchase are a great way to track what you have ordered, when it ships and when it has arrived. I must really fill in the Wish List pages and leave them lying around for my husband to see! I also keep a list of things I currently have for sale and when they are sold/posted.

I use a dashboard as a page lifter. I don't currently keep anything in the back pockets. The Siena has two pen loops which is a brilliant design feature, the left one being wider and fits a four barrel Coleto in.

Finally a photo of this page marker that I adore!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this set up post! I have also started a YouTube channel and uploaded a video of my current set up.

Have a great few days/weeks! Am going to try and post more regularly in the coming weeks, with a blog post and video!
